How do newspapers compete in a tweet-driven world? Decreasing attention spans, competing sources of instant news, and increased printing costs create challenges for the diocesan and secular press. But Twitter —with its 140- character limit – can be an ally. Newspaper editors can use it to drive readership and push themselves to write and edit more tightly and creatively.
