How do you distinguish "real" from "fake" journalism?

Over the weekend, the San Francisco Chronicle's John Diaz posted an article "6 tests of real journalism" in an attempt to help readers sort out reputable sources from everything else: http://www.sfchronicle.com/opinion/diaz/article/6-tests-of-real-journalism-11735569.php

What do you think of Diaz's tests? Is there anything you would add? Anything you disagree with? Let us know in the comments.
