Susan Gibbs is a former communications director for the Archdiocese of Washington and Archdiocese of Philadelphia who now consults with dioceses, religious orders and Catholic organizations on child protection and other topics. This has included an attorney general investigation. She served as a member of the Archdiocese of Washington Child Protection Advisory Board and Case Review Board for more than six years.

Gibbs will provide insights on what we know and don't know about the current crisis, what to expect, and how to get ready for a major child abuse announcement or investigation.

Fr. Thomas Berg currently serves as vice rector, professor of moral theology and director of admissions at St Joseph's Seminary in Yonkers, NY. He has published extensively in moral theology, bioethics, seminary formation, and contemporary Church issues. He is author of Hurting in the Church: A Way Forward for Wounded Catholics.

Fr. Berg will address the issue of sexually active priests, needed adaptations and changes to seminary formation, and the reality of the kinds of emotional hurt currently experienced by laity, media professionals and others who must deal with the complexities of the priest sexual abuse crisis and the McCarrick fallout on a daily basis.
