How to Cover the “V National Encuentro of Hispanic Ministry.”

It has been over 30 years since Hispanic Catholics in the United States experience a National Encuentro. The V Encuentro is a four-year process of ecclesial reflection, intense missionary activity, consultation, leadership development, and identification of best ministerial practices in the spirit of the New Evangelization. This historic process is a priority activity of the USCCB’s Strategic Plan for 2017-2020, starting at the grass-roots level in parishes across the United States, leading to diocesan, regional and a national Encuentro in September of 2018 in Grapevine, Texas. In this session we will explore what is V Encuentro, review the calendar of events and different opportunities to cover it at a local and regional levels. We will also share tips of how to best cover the Hispanic Catholic events in light of the V Encuentro theme: Missionary Disciples: Witnesses of God’s Love.
