National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ)
The National Association of Hispanic Journalists is dedicated to the recognition and professional advancement of Hispanics in the news industry. Established in April 1984, NAHJ created a national voice and unified vision for all Hispanic journalists.
 
National Association of Hispanic Publishers (NAHP)
Founded in 1982, the National Association of Hispanic Publications is comprised of 214 member publications with a combined circulation of more than 12 million. Its member publications reach over 50 percent of Hispanic households in 55 U.S. markets on a weekly basis. The mission of the NAHP is to promote Hispanic print, the most effective medium to reach the Hispanic population. The NAHP strives to continually inform and educate the Hispanic community on social issues, educate the readership of its member publications, provide technical assistance and to improve the quality of Hispanic publications nationwide. Dart Center
The Dart Center is a global network of journalists, journalism educators and health professionals dedicated to improving media coverage of trauma, conflict and tragedy. The Center also addresses the consequences of such coverage for those working in journalism.
 
Poynter Institute
The Poynter Institute is a school for journalists, future journalists, and teachers of journalists. No matter what their job title may be, journalists come to Poynter in a search for excellence.
 
National Press Photographers Association (NPPA)
Dedicated to the advancement of photojournalism, its creation, editing and distribution, in all news media. NPPA encourages photojournalists to reflect high standards of quality in their professional performance and in their personal code of ethics. NPPA vigorously promotes freedom of the press in all its forms. Members include still and television photographers, editors, students and representatives of businesses that serve the photojournalism industry.
 
American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP)
Founded in 1944, the American Society of Media Photographers (originally the Society of Magazine Photographers and later the American Society of Magazine Photographers) is the leading trade association for photographers who photograph primarily for publication.
 
Editorial Photographers (EP)
A non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health and profitability of editorial photography. Mission is to educate photographers and photography buyers about business issues affecting our industry, and in the process raise the level of business practices in the profession.
 
Christians in Photojournalism (CIP)
A loosely knit organization with active local chapters. The aim is to promote fellowship and professional advancement for Christian news photographers. Along with the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, the group hosts the annual Southwestern Photojournalism Conference.
