|Catholic Press Awards and Book Awards|
CPA's awards program allows Catholic journalists, authors, publishers, and media professionals to showcase their hard work from the previous year.
We run two annual contests and new this year we are piloting a Student Awards program:
Winners receive an award certificate and recognition on the CPA website and the Catholic Journalist. Winners of the Catholic Press Awards will be announced at the Catholic Media Conference. To view galleries of the 2015 Winners, click here.
Award packets are now available. The packets contain submission instructions and categories for the 2016 program. We also have a cover letter for the Catholic Press Awards that explains some category changes.
If you don't want to scan through packets to get to the category descriptions, we created this category list on an Excel spreadsheet for you to download. In the spreadsheet, the "Press" tab in the lower left corner to access the Catholic Press Award category list and "Books" for the CPA Book Awards.
CPA will begin accepting submissions beginning Monday, January 4, 2016. The submission deadline is 11:59 pm CT, Friday, February 5, 2016.

Second Update: The Magazine/Newsletter Division Packet, Newspaper Division Packet, and category list were updated on December 22. The Awards Committee clarified eligibility requirements for categories M34: Best Title and Lead-In and N18: Best Headline. Online articles are now eligible in these categories, but blog titles are not.
